Reboxetine is used to improve mood in people who are feeling low or depressed. Reboxetine is used to help the symptoms of anxiety and a number of other symptoms. * Reboxetine can occasionally cause dry mouth. If you experience this, try chewing sugar-free gum, sucking sugar-free sweets or pieces of ice. If dry mouth becomes a problem speak with your doctor or pharmacist.
* Reboxetine may cause you to sweat more than you usually do. Take care not to become overheated during exercise or hot weather.
* Before having any kind of surgery, including dental and emergency treatment, tell your doctor, dentist or surgeon you are taking reboxetine.

Before taking reboxetine make sure your doctor or pharmacist knows:
* if you are pregnant, trying for a baby or breast-feeding

¿How should I take Reboxetine (Edronax)?

Take the dose that the doctor has recommended. You will find this printed on the label For adults the usual dose to treat depression is 4 mg tablet taken by mouth, twice a day, a total of 8 mg/day. Your doctor may tell you to take up to 10 mg/day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 12 mg. Like other drugs Reboxetine will not relieve your symptoms immediately. You should start to feel better within a few weeks. It is important that you continue to take your tablets, even though you feel better, until your doctor advises you to stop. This may take a few months. Please be patient, if you stop taking your tablets too early, your symptoms might come back.

* Difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
* Constipation
* Dry mouth
* Sweating
* Blurred vision
* Loss of appetite
* Headache
* Balance problems involving the inner ear (vertigo)
* A drop in blood pressure that occurs when going from lying down to sitting or standing, which results in dizziness and lightheadedness (postural hypotension)
* Increased heart rate (tachycardia)
* Awareness of your heart beat (palpitations)
* Chills
* Difficulty passing urine, or a sensation that the bladder has not fully emptied
* Impotence
* Pain on ejaculation or delayed ejaculation
* Pins and needles (paraesthesia)
* Cold hands and feet

¿What other drugs will affect Reboxetine(Edronax)?

It is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with this medicine. Similarly, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines while taking this one, to ensure that the combination is safe. The following medicines are not recommended for use in combination with this medicine, because they may prevent the breakdown of reboxetine by the liver and so increase the risk of side effects:
* azole antifungals such as ketoconazole
* macrolide antibiotics such as erythromycin
* fluvoxamine. Reboxetine is not recommended for use in combination with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor antidepressant (MAOI), eg phenelzine, tranylcypromine, isocarboxazid, or moclobemide. Treatment with reboxetine should not be started until at least two weeks after stopping an MAOI. Conversely, an MAOI should not be started until a week after stopping reboxetine. There may be a risk of a rise in blood pressure if ergot derivatives, such as ergotamine or methysergide, are taken in combination with reboxetine. The level of potassium in the blood may decrease if reboxetine is taken in combination with diuretics such as furosemide or bendroflumethiazide. Sibutramine is not recommended for use in combination with this medicine.
